This piece of software was developed to assist frequency planning.When a DAC is used to output a signal, care must be taken to ensure that harmonics of that signal do not get aliased back in-band. This is particularly problematic when the DAC is producing a narrowband signal and will produce a narrowband spurious of significant amplitude.
The software has options to visualise clearly how aliased harmonics can locate themselves near your desired IF. By using the sliders, you can tune your frequency plan to alter the positions of these aliased harmonics and minimise the number of low order harmonics appearing in-band.
